This mini-course provides the basic concepts for understanding sustainable cities.

The United Nations predicts an increase in urban populations due to urbanization and population growth. To manage the needs of an increasing urban population, better infrastructure and programs are needed. Cities need to become sustainable to support population growth. This course, a mini-series companion to the SDG Academy’s full-length Sustainable Cities course, presents an introduction to sustainable cities.

Target Audience
Undergraduate and graduate students in architecture and development, sustainable development practitioners, private-sector actors in technology, telecommunications, transportation and energy, and interested individuals who would like an introduction to sustainable cities.
